In an Instagram post, The Bachelor SA's Marisia van Wyk revealed that she tested positive for Covid-19 "over 3 months ago".

"What covid taught me was to appreciate health (especially your breath & your sense of smell - still waiting for the latter to return), take care of yourself (eat healthily, sleep enough and drink lots of water) & last but not least treasure those who go the extra mile for you when you are extra sick, [sic]" she wrote.

She followed up the post with the hashtags #OnlyHaveTheCourageToShareThisNow and #breakthestigma.

Marc Buckner gave his final rose to the 24-year-old in the season finale of The Bachelor SA in May.

It was revealed during the Women Tell All Finale that they were still together following filming, but Marisia shared in a since-deleted Instagram post that they had ended their relationship in July.

Reports have surfaced that the couple has since reconciled but despite several requests for comment, the couple have remained tight-lipped on the status of their relationship.
