The Bachelor's Jessica Calder and Bauke Hanekom, from Hoor My, Sien My, Soen My have found love with each other.
After leaving the mansion without a rose from Marc Buckner, Jessica told Channel24: "I am still looking for love, that real head-over-heels kind of love. I know it's out there just sadly in self-isolation right now!"
Now, the patisserie chef and bakery owner has gone public with her new relationship, sharing the happy the news on Instagram.
"I talk about wanting a boyfriend, but I don't know what to do with this one. Like what, do you just kiss him and then leave him alone in the corner? How often does it eat," she jokingly captioned a photo of the pair, sharing a kiss.
Speaking to Channel24, Jessica confirmed the blossoming romance, saying: "I would probably say it was love at first sight." "Bauke might kill me for saying that," she laughs.
After forming a romantic connection on social media, the couple went on their first date on 4 June. A week later Bauke asked Jessica to be his girlfriend, and Jessica says that they've spent every day together since.
"We get along so well. He's such an amazing guy and I'm really, really happy," she says.
Jessica's boyfriend is the co-owner of Oxygen Functional Fitness, and appeared in the first season of kykNET's dating show Hoor My, Sien My, Soen My, but failed to make a romantic connection.
Jessica says that she's always known what she wanted in a partner, and she feels like she has found that in Bauke. "I'm excited for what's to come and what the future has to hold for the two of us. And I know I'm going to speak on behalf of Bauke. But I know that he's also very happy."
"We are both very much in love. So it's all happened very, very quickly. But I guess when you know, you know," she adds.
The ladies from The Bachelor season 2 shared their excitement about the news on Instagram. "You have found what was made just for your. Your desires have been met, enjoy each moment together," wrote Tamryn Muller.
Mulesa Lumina also shared a message of congratulations, writing: "You deserve so much happiness! He's a very lucky man."
