South African designer Gert-Johan Coetzee has announced the winner of the #GertWalk Challenge and it's... TikToker Siithembs.
Gert-Johan launched the #GertWalk Challenge to award one deserving Tiktoker with an exclusive modelling experience (hair, makeup, wardrobe - the works!) at his home, caught on camera by award-winning photographer Nicole Phillips and joined by Witney Ramabulana.
Still under construction, Gert-Johan's Northcliff-home, designed by Nico Van der Meulen, provided a beautiful architectural backdrop.
Siithembs (Sithembele) is a 22-year-old professional dancer, freelance model and content creator, currently teaching contemporary dance at Katz Dance Studios in Hurlingham, Sandton.
"I am an independent artist that is always finding opportunities to expand my personal brand and sharing a bold, black and beautiful story of a queer queen," he tells Channel24.
"I absolutely love people and being part of their elevated experience of life. By that I mean, I am always trying to find a crack on the wall of how we can make today better artistically. I believe in imagination and the recreation of imagined ideas to life. I am fearless and would like to believe I am a force," he says.
