Mrs World 2021 Thenjiwe Mdluli reflected on her Mrs World journey in an Instagram post, saying: "This week has been the wildest ride of my life. I had no idea it was possible to learn, evolve and thrive so much in such a short period."
Thenjiwe represented the country at Mrs World, hosted in Las Vegas on Saturday, which saw Mrs America, Shaylyn Ford, crowned the winner.
Thenjiwe, who did not place in the international competition, wrote about her experience: "I was heartbroken to not have been placed but when I woke up this morning my perspective had changed. I'm so proud that I came as my self and I did not compromise.
"I am grateful for this experience and I am all the better for it. I met amazing queens who expanded my view of the world and I've made such real connections that transcend borders and that for me that is priceless."
The newly crowned Mrs South Africa Jo Judnick-Wilson will go on to represent the country at the upcoming 2022 pageant later this year.
We're so proud of our South African queens, flying our flag high!
