Uzalo actor Thuthuka Mthembu has graduated from Afda.

Afda is a school that offers courses in film, television, performance, business innovation and technology, radio and podcasting.

"We finally graduated," she captioned a photo on Instagram, saying she felt "incredibly empowered".

"Being at Afda has encouraged me to go head to head with some of my greatest challenges, and live to tell the tale.

"It's been an incredible journey, I'm so much better because of it!" she wrote. 

Speaking to Daily Sun, the actor who portrays the role of Nonka on the SABC 1 soap, said: "Last year was very testing academically as there was a lot of self-motivation that needed to happen as learning was altered due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But I am grateful for all the support I received."
