
Family and friends bid their final farewell to Patrick Shai as he is laid to rest on Saturday.
The veteran actor best known for his roles in Soul City, Generations and Zero Tolerance died by suicide on 22 January.
Patrick is remembered for his illustrious career and his role in society as a passionate gender-based violence activist.
His life was celebrated at a memorial service on Thursday where his widow Mmasechaba described him as a father, husband and caretaker, saying: "He carried us. We were not perfect, and he was not perfect."

The funeral service took place at the Soweto Theatre and his burial at Westpark Cemetary.
In tributes to the actor he was described as a loving and resilient person.
His children praised him for being a good father and promised to keep his legacy alive.
Lekgetho, his son, said he was a pillar of strength for the family, "He didn’t take any nonsense in a way. He knew what he wanted in the industry and also how he loved his family, how he kept in contact with everyone in the family and that’s how we will remember him and the man that he was," reports SABC News.
