In an emotionally-charged Instagram video, entertainer Zodwa Wabantu said she is grateful for the continued support she receives.

"To all the people who are in top positions, who sit in boardrooms and meetings, that get a chance to pick our names, especially mine - Zodwa Wabantu... I'm so grateful; I'm so f***ing grateful [to] all the people who make that decision to say Zodwa Wabantu," said a sobbing Zodwa in an Instagram video.

"Thank you for choosing my name," said Zodwa, thanking the organiser and employees of venues, who all have played a part in her success.

"I work so hard," she said, adding: " I'm able to buy eggs and bread and eat. I don't care about the other stuff that you think I want to buy. I want to buy eggs and bread and be happy.

Thank you to the people who provide us with work.

She ended the video, saying: "There's nothing sad in my life."

Known for her provocative outfits and racy performances, Zodwa recently caused a social media stir when she posted a video on Instagram, which showed her removing her panty mid-performance
