Zoleka Mandela, who recently started her fight against cancer for the third time after revealing it returned last month, penned a touching message to her youngest daughter and namesake, Zingce Zobuhle Mandela, on social media.

The mother of six and her former partner Andile Cana welcomed Zingce Zobuhle, their first child together, in April. She previously lost two children – one in infancy and the other in an accident.

"To my namesake, my daughter, Zobuhle Jnr… Life is so full of beauty, but not everyone sees it," she wrote in the caption of a series of her daughter dressed in pink. "Give each day the opportunity to become as beautiful as you want it to be. Always remember that knowing who you are is beauty."

"Live up to your name – Zobuhle (of beauty) and own your beauty by being naturally yourself. I'll always love you, beautiful… for forever and a day!"

Earlier this month, Mandela said she had cancer in her lungs, liver, ribs, spinal cord, and hips. She added that she was battling to come to terms with the diagnosis and that it was both "daunting and terrifying".
