We do love us some Gert-Johan Coetzee. Not only because he makes gorg outfits, but because his collections for SA Fashion Week are inspired by some noble cause.
This year, Gert says his collection was inspired by Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani activist for female education who won the Nobel Peace Prize. "Her story touched my heart and I thought I could use it to inspire my collection," he said.
Gert was speaking at a preview for his collection at 54 on Bath in Rosebank, where he also gave us a glimpse of what's in store at his show tonight. The designer also announced that his collection will be available straight after the show on Spree.co.za.
We'll sure be shopping there tonight. Will you?
