Johannesburg - Earlier this week The Juice revealed that after 10 years on 5FM, Poppy Ntshongwana has resigned from the station.
Poppy said that it was time to move on. "In order to unlock the next level, I need to step out of my comfort zone and focus is needed."
Now it has been announced that Thando Thabethe will be taking over the slot from January 2016.
She is a contributor on Roger Goode's show and hosts Beats by Demand on Sundays. Her new show will be Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm.
We're totes looking forward to seeing what she's going to do!
Here's her message:
Super excited to be starting a new journey as host of the 10am-1pm on @5fm ...this has always been a dream of mine, and I am so honored that @5fm trusts me to run with it. Thank you @poppyismyname for your talent, your kindness, your laughter and for leading the way for women in radio...it is because of many like you that we are able to follow?? Catch me in my new time slot from the 18th of January 2016 10am-1pm
