Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup are going to be all grown up in a live-action version of The Powerpuff Girls.
Deadline reports that a series of the popular animated show is in the works at the CW and will feature adult versions of the young superheroes.
The series will be written and executive produced by Diablo Cody (Juno) and Heather Regnier (Veronica Mars).
The official logline for the show reads: "The Powerpuff Girls used to be America's pint-sized superheroes. Now they're disillusioned twentysomethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime-fighting. Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?"
The original series created by Craig McCracken ran for six seasons from 1998-2005 on the Cartoon Network. It centred on three girls with superpowers who lived with their father and creator Professor Utonium. They used their superpowers to fight crime in their small town.
The show was rebooted on the channel in 2016.
