  • The Kardashian-Jenners have paid tribute to Keeping Up With the Kardashians during the final episode's airing in the US.
  • "I'm so sad the show is ending," wrote momager Kris Jenner.
  • The finale airs Sunday, 13 June at 19:05 on E! (DStv 124).

"What a magical past 15 years it's been. All of the friendships we made and things we've experienced! Wow, blessed!" wrote Kim Kardashian as she led tributes to the show during the airing of the finale.

In September last year, the family announced that their long-running reality show will end with the 20th season in 2021.

The final episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians aired on Thursday in the US. It was a bittersweet affair as the family took to social media to pay tribute to the show.

"I will never be able to put into words what does show and what you guys mean to me. Please know how much I love you! I try to show you guys how much you matter to me #KUWTK, [sic]" wrote Khloé.

Momager Kris Jenner shared that it's a mix of emotions: "I'm so sad the show is ending but feel so blessed for all the love and support over the past 14 years."

Co-creator Ryan Seacrest shared a throwback photo of the family. Alongside it, he wrote: "Tonight we say goodbye to a show that left an indelible mark on reality tv and pop culture. Thank you to the Kardashians and Jenners for allowing us to be a part of your family and to our friends at @BunimMurray who were there to document these special moments. #KUWTK."

The episode, which airs on Sunday, 13 June at 19:05 on E! (DStv 124), sees the family bury a time capsule to commemorate their years on the show. Kim updates the family on her future, Khloé must decide whether or not to move to Boston to be with Tristan, and Kourtney finally gives Scott some clarity about their romantic future.

The family will be back for a reunion special hosted by Andy Cohen that will air on 20 and 27 June.

"Welcome to a sit down 20 seasons in the making. For the first time ever, I am grilling the Kardashian-Jenners," Andy can be heard saying in the trailer.
