"He's driven by a desire to find the worst in society who prey on the most vulnerable," Dougray Scott says about his new complex character in the dark thriller Crime.

Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh has adapted his 2008 detective novel into a six-part series, directed by James Strong and starring the Scottish actor.

Crime follows a troubled detective, haunted by addiction and a previous child murder case; DI Ray Lennox is forced to put his personal problems aside when his Serious Crimes Unit investigates the disappearance of a missing schoolgirl linked to a mysterious serial killer.
