"I would like to dedicate this award to my best friend. Someone who meant the world to me and continued to mean the world to me. Someone who believed in me more than I believed In myself. Someone who thought I was the best thing since sliced bread. Who continued to motivate and validate me. Mr Sho, I love you forever," said Ferguson.
"Thank you, DStv, for the award and the platform to create and to do what we love and to bring these beautiful viewers entertainment that they can enjoy," added Ferguson.

The leading personality to take home two awards was the host for the night, Lawrence Maleka.
"To the viewers, I respect, appreciate, and thank you. I do the work because I love the work. I do the work because it's a testament of expression. I get to play out everything you are. It's often said that we are a mirroring society. The characters we play and the work we do," said Maleka while on stage.
The Wife breakout star Kwenzo Ngcobo received the DMVCA Rising Star, while Ukhozi FM host Selbeyonce Mkhize scoped Mzansi's favourite radio presenter.
The favourite actor and actress gongs were awarded to Abdul Khoza and Sannah Mchunu, respectively.
Veteran actor, playwright, director and author Dr John Kani received the Legend Award. The crowd was on their feet as the stalwart gave a dignified acceptance speech that left everyone inspired.
One of the night's highlights was the handover of the Multichoice Enriching Lives award, which went to Amantle Vikwani, recognising his efforts as a community builder. Vikwane received a cash prize of R150 000 and a brand-new car from Kia, while Mohau Mmolawa received R 50 000 for his nomination.
The star-studded affair saw Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, Tbo Touch, Pitso Mosimane and Ntando Duma grace the blue carpet to celebrate all the top achievers.
"The turnout was amazing. Pulling this event together has been an exciting experience, and it was all for a good cause: bringing South Africa together to celebrate and honour our entertainment greats," said Nyiko Shiburi, CEO of MultiChoice South Africa.
