The Crown actress Emma Corrin revealed that she invited a guest to a fitting for Princess Diana's wedding dress.

The 24-year-old joins the cast of the Netflix show as Lady Di in the upcoming fourth season which will see the wedding and marriage of Prince Charles (Josh O'Connor) and Diana Spencer take centre stage.

Award-winning costume designer Amy Roberts used the original design from Elizabeth Emanuel to create the dress for the show. Emma shared that Amy encouraged her to take her mother along to a dress fitting and said that 'it will be one of those moments,' reports Radio Times.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor said that it was quite a process getting her into the dress. "They literally had to build the wedding dress around me, and it took ages. It was a very interesting process. It makes you feel incredibly 'at one' with the thing you're wearing when you're kind of sewn into it inch by inch."

Season 4 of The Crown premieres on Netflix, Sunday 15 November.
