The first season's success saw viewers left wanting more as Pastors' Wives hit TV screens in early 2021, with a consistent social media trend and high ratings.
The show features the wives of prominent pastors from across the continent who are infamous for "less than Christian like" actions. Some notable moments include the controversial exotic dancer party hosted by Phume Khethang and Innocent Sadiki, and the epic showdown between Nandipha Mlombi and Anietie Ezeimo.
The new season airs on Thursday, 13 January at 17:30 on DStv 173.
Three new cast members are set to join the show.
One of South Africa's most popular faces in gospel, Noluvo Duna, joins as a new addition.
Duna, the youngest wife but still equally committed and conservative, says: "What I do and who I am reflects on my husband - be it good or bad. That is why I believe in being authentic and true to myself."
Judy Ranoto, a lover of travel and fashion, also joins the cast. Ranoto and her husband have been married for 22 years and run Trinity Life International Ministries in Gauteng, South Africa
"People think being a pastor's wife means you must become boring and uninteresting," says Ranoto. "That doesn't have to always be the case, and I think we show that this season."
Adeola Costa Ayo, Anietie Ezeimo, Phume Khethang and Nandipha Mlombi from the original cast are all set to return for the new season, with the exception of Innocent Sadiki from the first season.
"The second season is quite different to the first. We're catching up with some of the favourite cast members since we last saw them in season one," says Keneilwe Senyatsi, Honey's Commissioning Editor. "Tensions rise in the most unexpected ways this time around."
Pastors' Wives premieres on Thursday, 13 January 2022 at WAT 16:30 | CAT 17:30 | EAT 18:30 on DStv 173.
