Sylvester Stallone to play mob boss in first TV lead role

Sylvester Stallone will have his first major television role in the drama Kansas City.

According to Deadline, the 75-year-old will star in and produce the drama series from Taylor Sheridan (Wind River) and Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire) for Paramount+.

The Rocky actor shared the news on Twitter: "Looking forward to this project with great anticipation. I look forward to working with The brilliant creator, Taylor Sheridan, and gifted Terrence Winter."


The series will centre on Sal (Stallone), a mobster from New York who is forced to relocate to Kansas City, where he has to re-establish his Italian Mafia family. He encounters surprising and unconventional characters in the Midwestern City as he rises to power, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
