The Wife actor Mbalenhle Mavimbela gave her former co-star Zikhona Sodlaka flowers following her exit from the Showmax original telenovela.

The seasoned actor, who played the role of Mandisa Madubela, exited the show this week after declaring war with her in-laws about where her on-screen husband, Ngoba Zulu (played by Abdul Khoza), should be buried. Khoza's character exited the show last week after he was found dead.

"We dive in too hard, and it's all worth it. @zikhonasodlaka I love you, and thank you for teaching me so much; you are brilliant."
– Mbalenhle Mavimbela wrote on social media about her on-screen sister-in-law, Mandisa Madubela (played by Zikhona Sodlaka)

In a separate post on social media, Sodlaka described playing the role of Mandisa as a "painful experience" due to how judged she was. However, she said playing the character and people's reactions to it had taught her a lesson she would not forget.

"What a painful experience it has been playing someone so judged. So damn imperfect and not shy about it. Watching people call her names to my face has been a lifetime lesson I hope I never forget."
