"In four years, I don't want to look back and think what did I become living in that house," says Viola Davis in the trailer for The First Lady.

According to the official synopsis, the series is 'a revelatory reframing of American leadership through the lens of the First Ladies.' It will delve into their personal and political lives and explore their journeys to Washington, family life, and world-changing political contributions.

Viola plays Michelle Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt.

O-T Fagbenle plays President Barack, Aaron Eckhart is President Gerald Ford and Kiefer Sutherland is President Franklin D Roosevelt.

Playing the extraordinary @MichelleObama was no small task but an honour of a lifetime, wrote the Academy-award winning actor in a post on Instagram.

The trailer gives a glimpse of each first lady grappling with the personal and public lives and finding their voice.
