In Savage Beauty, Netflix's latest African original, a young woman seeks revenge against a powerful family.
The series produced by Quizzical Pictures and created by Lebogang Mogashoa centres on Zinhle (Rosemary Zimu) who was one of the children that beauty brand magnates Don and Grace Bhengu (played by Nthati Moshesh and Dumisani Mbebe) tested a toxic product on.
Zinhle returns 15 years later to execute her revenge, exposing the family and taking them down a path of destruction.
Set against the background of the beauty industry the series explores themes such as the standards of beauty in the industry.
The 6-episode series boasts a stellar cast which also includes: Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, Angela Sithole, Jesse Suntele, Oros Mampofu, Mpho Sebeng, Slindile Nodangala and John Ncamane.
