Lifetime has released another emotionally charged teaser for the upcoming film Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace.

The third instalment in the franchise reveals "what really happened inside the palace" that drove Harry and Meghan to step back as senior royals and start a new life with their son Archie in Los Angeles.

The 30-second clip begins with Harry (Jordan Dean) vowing: "I will do everything in my power to keep my wife and son safe."

What follows is a series of flashbacks featuring Kate (Laura Mitchell) warning Meghan (Sydney Morton) that this is the life they have signed up for.

"I never thought this would be easy, but I wanted to make the queen proud," says Meghan.

The rest of the clip features a glimpse of Princess Diana (Bonnie Sopher) and William (Jordan Whalen) declaring that the monarchy is at stake and the queen (Maggie Sullivan) declaring that the monarchy will always survive.

The teaser ends on an ominous note with Meghan questioning where or not she's made the world's biggest mistake.
