THE SHOW:

Love on the Spectrum – Season 2

WHERE TO WATCH:

Netflix

OUR RATING:

5/5 Stars

WHAT IT’S ABOUT:

Love on the Spectrum S2 continues to tell the stories of people on the autism spectrum as they navigate the world of dating and relationships. With a few familiar faces, and some delightful new ones, this season represents an even wider range of people and personalities, showing just how diverse the autism spectrum really is.

WHAT WE THOUGHT:

If this is your first time finding out about Love on the Spectrum, I highly encourage you to read my review for the first season here.

The series is perhaps the most heartfelt and authentic dating show currently on Netflix.

Season two picks up where the first season left off as some familiar faces, still looking for love, return. As their unique journeys continue, our singles navigate the process each with their individual challenges.

Gentleman Michael and dinosaur expert Mark are both back to give love another try, and so is the lovely Chloe who confesses her love for a fellow cast member.

This time around we're introduced to some new faces too, which offers the opportunity to learn more about the autism spectrum as well as sexual fluidity.

Teo, who we meet in season 2, is a bubbly and energetic 22-year-old who brings a fresh new perspective to the show. She's open to dating different genders and has two very exciting dates that are standouts in this season.

Another newcomer, Jayden, is also keen to date either gender, and goes on perhaps one of the most beautiful dates of the series at a fine dining restaurant hidden in a bamboo forest.

Season two also includes an international trip for one lucky couple, and a wedding. But with the ups come the downs and not all love stories have their happy endings. By episode six you’ll be crying your eyes out.

Love on the Spectrum is authentic, respectful, and a deeply moving docu-series that gives thoughtful insight into living with autism. It provides vital awareness and is extremely educational for those who don’t understand the obstacles that some individuals face on a daily basis.

I highly recommend this moving and truly beautiful series.
