WARNING: The following article contains spoilers about The Bachelorette SA finale.

South Africa's first Bachelorette, Qiniso Van Damme, has found her happily ever after.

The 28-year-old's journey to finding love came to an end in the grand finale, which saw suitors Henk 'Swazi' Nel and Gareth Ehret meet her family at the Pezula Resort in Knysna and have one final date with her.

Later in the episode it was revealed that Qiniso gave her final rose to Gareth after he professed his love with a ring, symbolic of a future together.

"Every moment we share together, my feelings grow for you. I don't think I have ever connected with someone on the sort of level we connect, and I feel confident saying, I have fallen in love with you, I do love you with no doubt in my mind," said the digital marketer.

Qiniso, in turn, said, "As much as I hoped for and prayed for love to be something that I leave here with, I can definitely say that I am in love with you, and I love you. I cannot see my life without you. I am going to accept this ring as a reminder to both of us for this commitment we are making to each other in pursuing something outside of this," before presenting Gareth with her final rose.

The 27-year-old was part of the second group of men introduced to Qiniso. From the beginning, there was a spark, and throughout the show, he was seen as a frontrunner who got the most alone time with the bachelorette.

Speaking to host Jason Greer in studio the couple gave an update on their relationship.

Qiniso said that they have a perfect connection and that it's just meant to be 'especially because they haven't been outside a home setting.' Gareth added that they covered the basics of what they can see as an extremely functional relationship.

As for what's next for the pair, Qiniso said they would be dating, going for runs and hikes together, and that she can't wait to hang out with his family in public.

Holding back tears, Gareth said: "So much has changed since that moment, but nothing has changed in the same breath. Every day subsequent to that which we spent together, our love has just grown and grown. I just feel honoured, and I love you so much."
