BUSINESS

The G20, which consists of governments and governors from 19 countries and the EU, may this weekend have to consider expanding help for the poorest countries three months after agreeing to provide temporary debt relief, as the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage nations.

Central bankers and finance ministers from the G20 will hold a virtual meeting this weekend to discuss and coordinate phased efforts to spur global economic recovery. Looking beyond just debt relief efforts will be part of the discussion.
