Ever since he made history by becoming the country’s first black captain to lift the Webb Ellis Cup, Kolisi’s appearances on the field have been punctuated by a combination of injury – first against the Hurricanes in Super Rugby proper and then against the Pumas in Super Rugby Unlocked – and self-isolation after practically his whole household tested positive for Covid-19 recently.
