A trial of hope – that is how the first Covid-19 coronavirus vaccine trial in Africa has been hailed.

On Tuesday, SA’s first clinical trial in the global race to develop a vaccine against the Covid-19 coronavirus – the South African Ox1Cov-19 Vaccine VIDA-Trial – was announced in a virtual press conference hosted by Wits University.
