The Catholic Church in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape is still haunted by fear and anxiety after five nuns succumbed to the Covid-19 coronavirus early this month.

Bishop Sithembele Sipuka of the Diocese of Mthatha, said 17 other nuns at the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood at Glen Avent in Mthatha, were in their second week of quarantine after testing positive for the virus.
