Eastern Cape is ‘overwhelmed by Covid-19’ and needs an urgent intervention

The DA in the Eastern Cape has called for the provincial department of health to be placed under administration because it is overwhelmed by the Covid-19 pandemic, which is beginning to reach its peak in the province.

Siviwe Gwarube, a DA MP who speaks for the party on health matters, has written to Health Minister Zweli Mkhize asking for immediate intervention.
