EFF expels councillor after R3m bribe claim rocks North West

A R3 million bribery scandal has led the EFF in North West’s JB Marks Local Municipality in Potchefstroom to expel one of its councillors and suspend another pending a disciplinary hearing.

In voice notes City Press has heard, it appears that the EFF councillors negotiated a payment of R5 million as a reward for voting in favour of the municipal budget.
