The economy is in the throes of the anticipated fallout from the global crisis, and South Africa is feeling it.

This was the word from President Cyril Ramaphosa, who in his newsletter to the nation on Monday morning, outlined the state of the economy ahead of Finance Minister Tito Mboweni tabling a revised national budget in Parliament this week.
