Gqeberha name change debate continues as Khoi-San activists finally feel heard, represented

Gqeberha was a Khoi word which means “almost”, says Christian Martin an activist for the Khoi and the San people.

“In my own thinking it could have been described as “almost” as beautiful as the Garden of Eden,” said Martin as controversy over the new name for Port Elizabeth rages on.
