A R41 million contract between the Housing Development Agency (HDA) and civil engineering services provider Sezigen Consulting Engineers went sideways over allegations of the agency’s unlawful suspension of the deal, and both parties are due to fight over the company’s claimed R25 million in damages before the high court.

After losing two rounds of arbitration before the former president of the Supreme Court of Appeal, Judge Lex Mpati, Sezigen has applied to the high court to review his decision to dismiss the company’s damages claim for the tender.
