‘I’m defeated’: Friends mourn Sibongiseni Gabada, whose body was found in a bag

“It was sad to say goodbye, but I needed to be strong for my grandmother.”

These were the words of an emotional Nomathamsanqa Gabada, moments after laying her sister, Sibongiseni Gabada, to rest in Cape Town on Wednesday.

Gabada’s decomposing body was discovered stuffed in a bag in Khayelitsha – two weeks after she had gone missing – on May 29.
