POLITICS

Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has been mentioned as directing and controlling what is supposed to be an “independent” investigation into the financial affairs of Lepelle Northern Water in Limpopo and Amatola Water in the Eastern Cape.

The information is contained in a classified letter that investigator Len Konar wrote to acting director-general (DG) Mbulelo Tshangana on July 3. According to an anonymous tip-off received by City Press, “a ministerial driver or bodyguard” allegedly drove Konar and his team on a working trip to East London.
