Muzikayise Malephane, the 31-year-old man accused of murdering eight-month pregnant Tshegofatso Pule, sobbed when he made his first appearance in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday afternoon.

A quivering Malephane, who could not sit still, wore a black puffer jacket, black track pants and takkies. He covered his face with his hands and looked on the floor of the dock the entire court briefing.

Malephane was arrested on Monday in Bruma Lake near Eastgate Mall while he was travelling from Mpumalanga.
