A social media blunder by government has caused confusion about the alcohol and tobacco ban.

A tweet was published from government’s verified social media account, stating that the ban on the sale of alcohol and cigarettes would remain throughout the lockdown.

They then made a U-turn and stated that the information was incorrect.
