City Press learnt that on Monday the legal representatives for the Speaker of Parliament received an SMS from a private person tipping them off – “on good authority” – that Mkhwebane was going to lose her rescission application that is before the Constitutional Court, which is one of the legal grounds on which the Public Protector sought an interdict against Ramaphosa suspending her and Parliament continuing its impeachment process.
