Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize has reiterated his call for provinces to report all Covid-19 coronavirus deaths timeously, as per the World Health Organisation protocols to avoid backlogs as witnessed recently in the Eastern Cape.

On Wednesday, the Eastern Cape recorded 400 deaths in a 24-hour period, taking its total death toll to 1 345, the highest jump in fatalities in a day in the country so far.
