Public schools to close for 4 weeks, academic year will be extended

Cabinet has decided to close public schools for four weeks – from July 27 to August 24.

However, grade 12 pupils and teachers will only have a one-week break and will return on August 3.

Grade 7 pupils will take a two-week break, returning to school on August 10.
