In this abnormal period of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, a US study has found that more people are having vivid dreams – about anything from sex and zombies to ex-partners

The study by Sleep Standards showed that 87.3% of Americans had been experiencing unusual dreams since the pandemic struck; 16.7% of the respondents said their dreams had become more vivid.

Scientists said factors such as stress or anxiety, sleep disorders, medication, substance abuse and mental health conditions, such as depression and schizophrenia, were associated with vivid dreams.
