The society alleges that Roelofse is not fit to be a judge because he has failed to disclose material information in his application about his debt to the society, for occupying chambers, and is in arrears with the General Council of the Bar of SA (GCBSA) over fees.

The court order sought would allow these allegations – which were not brought forth during Roelofse’s interview – to be considered and assessed.
