As the world’s attention has been held captive by the onslaught of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, a premier global platform for the nearly 40-year-old HIV epidemic is set to show that the HIV threat, now more than ever, still needs urgent prioritisation.

The 23rd International Aids Conference – known as Aids 2020 – begins tomorrow and will run until Friday.

However, as many conferences have been upended by the Covid-19 pandemic, it will go virtual, though still showcase the latest HIV science and advocacy.
