Former Tshwane DA leader Abel Tau, who has joined Herman Mashaba’s new party, has accused DA federal chairperson Helen Zille of turning the party into an English Freedom Front Plus, which will alienate more people from it.

“I believe my decision will help stiffen the spines of others who were too timid to take this bold step,” said Tau, who is joining The People’s Dialogue.

Tau told City Press that the DA was no longer the party he joined in 2016, but a playground for federal chair Zille to enforce her own agenda, which was most often anti-black.
