A trucking company based in Mahikeng, North West, has possibly had part of its truck drivers’ salaries covered by the government through Covid-19 coronavirus relief benefits even though the workers allegedly did not qualify for the benefit in the first place.

Loubser Bulk Services has admitted to deducting from its drivers’ salaries money paid to them by the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) on the basis that the company had already paid their salaries in full.
