Limpopo Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba has voiced concerns about the high number of teenage pregnancies in the province, and said that 51% of the cases recorded had been in rural areas.
She said more than 19 000 girls between the ages of 10 and 17 had given birth in the province’s facilities last year.
