While the rest postulate candidates for the throne, young Zulu people are more concerned about the royals’ spending as some in the kingdom go hungry.

Speculation may be rife about the heir to the throne of the late Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, but a group of urban youngsters from one of eThekwini’s largest townships has told City Press that its members are not as concerned about succession as they are about wanting the taxpayer-funded monarchy to modernise and be more accountable for how it spends funds.
