State capture: ANC implicated in Prasa bribery scandal

Having previously been implicated in testimony by former Bosasa chief operating officer, Angelo Agrizzi, who told the Zondo commission of inquiry into state capture that the company catered for ANC rallies, the governing party has again been implicated in wrongdoing.

This time, the ANC is alleged to have demanded 10% from the R3.5 billion received by Swifambo Rail Leasing, a shelf company that clinched a contract with Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) to deliver 70 new locomotives in 2012.
