In what would be a major boost for Bafana Bafana, São Tomé and Príncipe have proposed to forego their home advantage and remain in South Africa for the return leg of their upcoming back-to-back Afcon qualifiers in the coming days.

Dominic Chimhavi, Safa’s head of communications, confirmed on Saturday that the central African island country had approached the CAF with the proposal.
