Following cancellation of the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon in July, the organisers of the popular Mother City race on Thursday outlined the format of the virtual event that has since replaced the traditional race.

The virtual marathon is pencilled in for October 18 and will be staged across three locations - Cape Town, Pretoria and the North West dorpie of Potchefstroom.
