When Lebohang Mokoena took Themba Zwane under his wing when the two were team-mates at Mamelodi Sundowns a decade ago, little did Mokoena know that Zwane would return the favour one day. And it came in the form of a pair of soccer boots.

The special gift arrived when Mokoena was picking up the pieces at the now defunct NFD side Maccabi FC, trying to resurrect a career that had stalled for a year since he was released by Ajax Cape Town in June 2017.
